Meet Dr. Tonya Breland
Helping women move from their accomplishments to living lives aligned with their purpose and calling, Dr. Tonya Breland is an award-winning educator, successful entrepreneur, executive leader, author, speaker, leadership strategist, business coach, and women's purpose and empowerment coach.
Having led at the local and state levels, Dr. Tonya understands the courage it takes to move beyond a familiar path and pursue work that is more deeply aligned with your purpose.

Her Story
Dr. Tonya Breland is a dynamic, faith-driven leader, speaker, and visionary advocate for purpose, justice, and transformational change. Guided by her belief that faith and purpose ignite both personal and societal transformation, she empowers leaders to rise with clarity, courage, and conviction. Through her transformative coaching, training, and mentoring, she helps individuals uncover their God-given purpose, build businesses, break barriers, and activate their full potential.
A nationally respected educator and proud recipient of the prestigious Milken Educator Award, Dr. Breland has served as a school and district leader, Director of Professional Learning, and Deputy Assistant Commissioner at the New Jersey Department of Education. As Founder and CEO of TESO Consulting Group, she leads a team devoted to cultivating high-performing individuals and organizations through leadership development, strategic planning, and culturally responsive transformation.
Dr. Breland serves as Board Chair of Eskolta School Design, Vice President of the New Jersey Tutoring Corps, and President of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Central New Jersey Chapter, advocating for Black women and girls in education, health, and economic empowerment. She is also a member of the NJ African American Chamber of Commerce, where she serves as a buddy for new members.
A trailblazer for women’s advancement, she helps women discover purpose and build thriving businesses. Dr. Breland holds degrees from Howard University, Nova Southeastern University, and New York University, where she earned her doctorate in Leadership and Innovation.
